Terms of service

Short and honest, because Tilth is built by a farmer who reads terms the way you do.

This is a beta

Tilth is in early testing, and free while it is. That means a few things worth knowing up front:

  • It is improving all the time, so features may change, and there may be the odd fault or a short spell of downtime.
  • It is free during the beta. If that ever changes you will be told well in advance and never charged by surprise.
  • It is provided as it is, with no guarantees. It is backed up every day and worked on constantly, but keep your own exports of anything you could not afford to lose, as you would with any tool.
  • Your feedback is welcome and helps shape the app. Sending it does not oblige you to anything.
  • The beta, or a farm's access to it, may be ended with reasonable notice, and you will have time to take your data with you first.

The deal

You get the app to run your farm's mapping, records, stewardship and the rest. Your farm's data belongs to your farm, full stop. We never sell it, share it or use it to sell to you. What we hold and how is set out in the Privacy notice.

Your part

Keep your sign-in details to yourself, add only people you trust to your farm (and give them the right role), and remember the app is a working tool, not a substitute for reading product labels, scheme rules or your own judgement. Figures like payment estimates, spray windows, NVZ checks and nutrient suggestions are guides; the official paperwork and the sky have the final say.

Leaving

You can export everything from the Export page at any time, and close your farm to remove it entirely. If a paid plan ever lapses in future, your farm drops to read-only with export always available; data is never held hostage. If the service itself ever winds down, there will be notice and time to take everything with you.

Who provides Tilth

Tilth is provided by Tilth Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales, company number 17356418. Where these terms say “we” they mean Tilth Ltd.

Tilth is in beta. These terms are written plainly and honestly and will be reviewed by a solicitor before the app takes paying customers.
